Azienda Agricola Donato Parisi

The Parisi Company has been producing high quality 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil for four generations.

Presentation

Since the 1990s it has used the special selection of 100% Italian “monovarietal” oils, produced with a single variety of olives. The pioneer of the oil tradition of the Parisi family was Giuseppe Donato Parisi, born in 1879 who started producing oil, flour and wine in the 1920s. Later, he focused on the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Many years later, in 2019, Donato Parisi introduced the prized Extra Virgin Olive Oil PGI – CALABRIA OIL (IGP) which follows the strict production regulations, dedicated to one of the most authoritative Greek painters, Antimene.

The company has always been committed to the preservation of their local territory by using sustainable and economical cultivation methods. They produce over 70% of the energy they use with photovoltaic panels and since 2017 they have adopted two town flower beds, with the purpose of protecting public green areas. Today the farm manages about 70 hectares of olive groves with different types of olive cultivars. In the 2000s, the company launched a special selection of mono-cultivars consisting of six varieties of oils (Dolce di Rossano, Nocellara, Coratina, Carolea, Tondina and Biancolilla).

The farm is located in the region of Rossano, situated along the Ionian Sea, providing the ideal climate for the cultivation of olive trees, mandarins, oranges and lemons. The Ionian strip contains many ancient olive and fruit trees, giving it the name “Dolce di Rossano.” The company is the main sponsor of the Diocesan Museum and of the Codex, which preserves and protects UNESCO Heritage sites since 2015.
