“As soon as I returned, I needed to resume the olive oil tradition of my family that has been dealing with olive growing for four generations, selling in Italy and Europe. There are several aspects that make my company special. In fact, we produce mono-variety oils whcih come from a single type of olive and therefore differ from the classic extra virgin olive oils, produced with a mix of different olive cultivars. We work to always achieve higher quality levels of oil by specializing in mono-varietal indigenous oils because they safeguard our ecosystem, protect biodiversity and increase the local labor market. Our native olive is the “Dolce di Rossano” from which we obtain a fruity oil with a sweet and delicate taste and has earned us the highest national and international awards.”
“I created a section of the company that translates to ” +oil, we cultivate culture” which is dedicated to the enhancement of the territory by investing part of the revenues in social and environmental sustainability projects. There are several initiatives that we carry out, such as the social vegetable garden, started and managed together with disabled children.”
“There are many reasons to visit Rossano, besides being a beautiful and very characteristic Calabrian village, it has a unique museum, the Diocesan and the Codex, in which there is the precious Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, an ancient manuscript dating back to the 6th century. The museum was recognized by UNESCO in 2015. As a company, we have decided to support the managing body of the museum, launching cultural initiatives to promote the area.”
