Interview with Mariangela Costantino, Carolea olive oil producer

Mariangela Costantino:

The hills of olive trees follow one another in the villages of  Feudo di Maida, Cortale and the water mills of San Pietro a Maida to reach Mariangela Costantino’sm Agriturismo Costantino and experience a sensory tasting experience and learn to recognize good oil. Here, you will find an ancient rural village that has been redeveloped, ten thousand Carolea plants are grown organically and the olives are transformed in the company oil mill to obtain an extra virgin organic olive oil and Lametia DOP.  This oil is a unique product, a true expression of the territory.

“Have you ever entered a tree?” You can experience this at the giant Platano in Curinga. Then visit the ruins of the Roman Baths and take a bath in the sulfur springs of Caronte in Lamezia Terme from which to enjoy the sunset on the Tyrrhenian Sea in a place where the sunsets are unique and gave the name to the “Riviera dei Tramonti”.

This trip is an experience. It’s a return to tradition, it’s the discovery of a landscape, it’s the knowledge of people and their stories. The Carolea olive is in each of these stories, it is in every landscape and in every product. You can live this experience by walking, riding a bike, riding a horse, or if you’re lucky, even a donkey.
