Azienda Agricola Costantino

Agriturismo Costantino originates from the ancient rural village “Donnantonio” which extends over the olive groves of the Feudo di Maida, between the Gulf of Lamezia Terme (Tyrrhenian Sea) and Catanzaro (Ionian Sea), Italy’s most narrow point.

Presentation

Today, the Constantine family cultivates olive groves, orchards, citrus groves, and vegetable gardens and looks after animals with a constant commitment to quality and sustainability. They have built a social enterprise of over 130 hectares of organic cultivation, that works tirelessly to serve their loyal customers.

This is a family run company, that is now in its third generation of Costantino owners. Mariangela Costantino is the current owner, and after deciding to study outside of the region for a brief period, she returned to Calabria to fulfill her dream of giving back to the village that she grew up in. She began to diversify the farm by introducing agritourism and investing in new innovations aimed towards economic and environmental sustainability and quality. They self-produce the electrical and thermal energy needed for the company to conduct such sustainable and organic principles. The company consists of approximately 25 employees, mainly women, younger adults and disadvantaged people.
