Crudo di Cuneo DOP

Crudo di Cuneo DOP is a salted and cured ham obtained by processing raw pig thighs, produced in the provinces of Cuneo, for which it is named after, and the provinces of Asti and Turin, in the region of Piemonte.

Crudo di Cuneo DOP has a large round shape and weighs between 8.5 and 12 kg, and is bright red in colour. The consistency is soft and compact and it has a distinct sweet taste and a strong aroma.

The cold cut is a perfect entrée or second course to be eaten on its own or together with other local charcuterie products and cheeses, it is also often served with fruits to help bring out its flavour especially melon, kiwi and figs.
