Saltimbocca alla Romana with Modena Ham

Saltimbocca alla romana are a typical dish of Lazio cuisine and in particular of the Roman one.

Ingredients

Dose for 4 people

  • 8 slices of veal
  • 8 sage leaves
  • 4 slices of Prosciutto di Modena DOP
  • 50 g of butter
  • 1/2 glass of white wine
  • pepper
  • salt

Instructions

On each slice of meat put half a slice of Modena Ham and a sage leaf that you will attach to the meat with a toothpick. Fry the butter in a pan, add the saltimbocca and brown them on both sides over high heat. Salt them on the side without the Modena Ham.

Add the wine, a pinch of pepper and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

And the dish is ready!
