Marcello del Majno

Villa Marcello, located in Fontanelle in the heart of the Marca Trevigiana, belongs to one of the most ancient Venetian families that for over a thousand years, since the time of the Serenissima, has played a major role in the cultural, political and social life of Venice.

The Villa was built in the late seventeenth century as a hunting lodge of the Tiepolo family in what was a large area of woods.  The architectural complex that surrounds it, surrounded by a magnificent park with centuries-old trees, testifies to the Civilization of the Venetian Villas, a constant interweaving of agricultural activity and a holiday resort.

Elisabetta Galvani Onigo, ancestor of the current owners, made changes to the Villa and the Estate in the early nineteenth century, consolidating the cultivation of the vine, tradition that the family has always kept alive and that has been handed down with passion and expertise in particular by Count Alessandro to his son Marco Marcello Del Majno.

The grapes produced in about 60 hectares of vineyards are vinified in the right balance between tradition, technological research and deep love and respect for nature, all aimed at enhancing the characteristics of the terroir and the quality and typicality of our wines.
