Zonin1821
Overview
With a lineage dating back to 1821, the Zonin family head one of the largest winemaking company’s in Italy.
Centered in the province of Vicenza, the family has historically shared a strong link with the land, with prior generations following in the regional tradition of farming and agriculture. Dominico Zonin, the progenitor of the family’s wine business, would subsequently base the company in Gambellara, a town known for its history of viniculture, with traditional winemaking being recorded as far back as the 1300’s.
Covering an extensive array of properties and vineyards, the Zonin family have established the largest Prosecco vineyard in the Veneto, allowing for complete control from grape to bottle, seeing a consistent level of quality throughout the whole development process of the wine. Regarded by the Zonin family as one their vineyard’s most significant products, the Italian wine has become a staple within the region as well as in a larger, global context.
Retaining many of the traditional wine production methods associated with the town of Gambellara, the Zonin family have continued to use age old traditions, with processes that have in essence stayed true to form since their first inclusion in centuries past. This continued reliance on quality over quantity has guaranteed consistent production of their Zonin Prosecco as well as their numerous other wines dispersed throughout the company’s wide array of vineyards. Their headquarters in the Veneto, still retains its wooden wine press, an homage to the company’s tradition as winemakers within Northern Italy.
