Home to various estates around the Veneto, the vineyard has expanded to encapsulate many of the traits that made wines from the region so renown. A large appeal of Villa Sandi lies in its historical premises, set amongst the D.O.C.G territory of Prosecco of Valdobbiadene as well as Montello, the Villa Sandi is strategically placed to benefit from the best prosecco appellations.
Encapsulated by nature, the villa where the winery is based has become not just a defining icon of the vineyard but as well as the perfect synergy between culture and nature, with the Villa Sandi being surrounded by some of most scenic geography in Treviso. Founded by the Moretti family, the original winery was moved to its new location at Villa Sandi, where it oversaw the surrounding vines as well as undertook to reinforce a continued sense of tradition and quality that has persevered throughout Villa Sandi wines. The vineyard is currently headed by Giancarlo Moretti Polegato.
Villa Sandi and its various estates provide the vineyard with a unique opportunity to fully embrace the best that the Veneto and its viniculture has to offer. With vines in Valdobbiadene and La Rivetta, Villa Sandi holds coveted ground in the heartland of Prosecco marking. Its Valdobbiadene estate provides the bulk of its D.O.C.G prosecco whereas its Vigna La Rivetta estate produces the company’s illustrious Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG, an acclaimed Prosecco showcasing Villa Sandi’s expertise with sparkling wines and its ongoing contribution to the Italian viniculture.

In Valdobbiadene, among the vineyards of the area of Prosecco di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene DOCG, a land naturally endowed for the cultivation of the vines, the Locanda Sandi welcomes guests in a warm and refined environment with traditional local dishes and Villa Sandi wines.
An elegantly simple ambiance with only six rooms, each of them with different names and furniture.
Set within a typical colonial house of the Veneto region at the beginning of the 20th century the Locanda Sandi was restored using materials recovered from the demolition of ancient mansions which add a refined allure to the rural atmosphere of yesteryear. Each of the six rooms narrates its own story with its variations of colours and unique furniture.

When was the last time you had dinner in an Italian restaurant in Canada and you thought you were dining in Italy? That’s exactly how “Ospitalità Italiana Certified”restaurants want you to feel when you visit their fine dining establishments.
Ospitalità Italiana is an official certification from Unioncamere, Italy’s federation of local Chambers of Commerce and Industry, that tells you that the food you are enjoying is unquestionably Italian: products are authentic, ingredients genuine and recipes true to the thousand year history of Italian cuisine.
Canada is home to some leading Italian Chefs. Passionate and innovative, many have refined their skills and advanced their knowledge directly in Italy. In addition, Montréal boasts a fabulous cooking school ITHQ where young aspiring chefs learn Italian technic and Italian traditional recipes from the masters.
So the next time you make reservations for an Italian dinner in a Montreal restaurant, ask if they’ve received the Ospitalità Italiana seal of approval. You will enjoy the true Italian taste.
