Calabria
Calabria
Calabria is an Italian region located at the toe of the boot at the extreme south of the Italian peninsula. The region is known for its splendid crystal blue Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas and is separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina.
Calabria has a very unique history and has traditionally been a meeting ground for many different peoples and cultures. This mix of cultures has allowed Calabria to establish its own distinct identity within Italy and can be witnessed in all aspects of daily life.
The warm climate, proximity to the sea, its mountain ranges and its wild untouched nature allows for the region to be home to some of Italy's most renowned food and wine products.
