Founded in 2014, the Consorzio unites producers and growers who have chosen to collaborate in preserving and promoting their territory. Today, it represents over 250 members and oversees more than 1,250 hectares of vineyards. Its mission is clear: ensure that every bottle labeled Roero or Roero Arneis DOCG faithfully reflects the region’s identity. This includes monitoring production standards, protecting the appellation, supporting wineries, and raising global awareness of Roero’s wines and landscape.

Walking through the vineyards, it becomes clear why such an organization is essential. The hills of Roero, shaped by sandy soils, give the wines their signature elegance and aromatic finesse. Here, two native grapes capture the character of the land like nowhere else: Nebbiolo, used for the red Roero DOCG, and Arneis, the historic white variety that has become a symbol of the area.
