Let’s start with Alba. Alba is the beating heart of this area of Piemonte. It is the city renowned for its truffle and so much more. The city has a medieval layout – with its towers and forts, the Duomo and the Church of San Domenico make it a truly beautiful destination. Not to be missed, after Alba, is Asti, also known and above all for its fine sparkling wines. It is here where you can admire the Church of San Secondo and the medieval complex in the Rotonda di San Pietro.
If you love castles, the Castello Falletti in Barolo is a beautiful and unique place with a view from the top offers looks over the incredible rolling hills of the Langhe. Inside the castle, a beautiful Wine Museum that tells about wine history and above all Barolo DOCG
Another place to see on our tour of the Langhe is undoubtedly Santo Stefano Belbo, between Nice and Monferrato. Then there is Bergolo, the all-stone village; Neive, with its trattorias and Dogliani, with its famous farmer’s market on Tuesday.
The next stops on our tour will bring us to Bossolasco, with its delightful old town all dotted with roses; Murazzano, famous for its medieval tower and cheese; the very small San Benedetto Belbo and finally Mombarcaro, the peak of the Langhe, the highest village from which, on clear days, you can even see the sea.
