Giusti Wine

The Giusti-Dal Col estate, better known as Giusti Wine, was established in 2003 by its owner Ermenegildo Giusti, who considers Prosecco the prized wine of the Veneto region.

While the Giusti Wine winery was established less than 20 years ago, the Giusti family has roots in the region since the 1600s and have a history of winemaking dating back to that time. Ermenegildo Giusti began building his winery when he purchased 2 hectares of 1945 plantings of the Dal Col vineyard in Treviso, Veneto.

Treviso is a magical place for wine growing, offering a wealth of soil types, slopes, vistas and a great cultural heritage. While doing their best to preserve and commemorate the past, Giusti has made newly acquired estates welcoming and alluring for visitors and winelovers.

Today, the winery has more than has approximately 100 hectares of land, 70% of which is planted with vines. This land is divided among 10 different estates which lie between the land on the Nervesa plain, which was home to the very first vineyards in ancient times, and the Montello hills, all found throughout the Prosecco DOC territory. Giusti now owns about 14 per cent of the land in Italy’s designated Prosecco region, making him one of the largest private landowners in the area.

In addition to both DOC and DOCG Prosecco, Giusti also produces a chardonnay and pinot noir cuvée. In recent years, Giusti added both red and white non-sparkling wines to their portfolio which include a pinot grigio from Longheri and a Venetian chardonnay. The red range includes varietal wines such as merlot as well as Valpolicella blends of Ripasso and Amarone. The Augusto and Antonio wines feature the reclaimed recantina grape variety planted in the Montello Colli Asolani sourced from the Aria and Emily vineyards. Finally Umberto I, named after Giusti’s grandfather, is a Super Venetian cabernet/merlot blend from the Abbazia site.
