“Seguimi” (follow me) is the concept that summarizes Lusvardi’s mission statement, as represented in every stage of wine production.
Preferring a relaxed, distraction-free approach, their stated priority is preserving the essence of the terroir that gives the wine its unique charm and personality.
Lusvardi was founded with the goal of creating distinctive, environmentally sustainable wines from the family’s 3.5 hectares of Lambrusco Salamino and Lambrusco Grasparossa vines. With this philosophy in mind, in 2010 the company began a 3-year process for converting its Podere il Serraglio vineyard to a chemical-free, fully organic production. This project culminated with the 2014 harvest, when all Lusvardi wines were officially certified organic by ICEA Certification Institute.
The grapes are harvested by hand and cooled down before being separated from the stems. This allows for the full expression of the grape’s trademark strengths, as the cooler temperature acts as a natural inhibitor for the oxidation process, thus drastically reducing the need for added sulphites. This technique combined with the CO2 fermentation directly from must (without any sugar added) yields an amazing sparkling wine that fully captures the unique flavour, colour and texture of the Lambrusco: a lively, fresh, light, yet elegant wine that is virtually sulphite-free.
“Bubbly by nature, it cannot be forced into repeatable patterns. It must be heard and interpreted. From the Earth it collects the moods; through the hands of man he refines the temperament. Accompanying him on his path we enhance his essence. Follow it back and you will recognize … its nature.”

In addition, Montréal boasts a fabulous cooking school ITHQ where young aspiring chefs learn Italian technic and Italian traditional recipes from the masters.
