Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP

Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP is Italian cold cut made from cured ham, specifically pigs raised in the regions of Emilia Romagna, Marche, and Lombardia.

Presentation

Prosciutto di Carpegna is exclusively produced in Carpegna, a town in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region, on the eastern coast of Italy. Prosciutto di Carpegna has a typical round shape, which allows it to be easily distinguishable from the other Italian hams.

It’s taste is delicate and savoury with an intense aroma and is often best enjoyed on its own or with a slice of bread, along with a soft red wines, such as Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC.

Note that only the pigs come from Lombardy, not the production area.
