Prosecco DOC and Prosecco Rosé Resto Weeks – Winter 2022

In recent years, Prosecco has quickly become a favorite consumption and the most exported Italian wine in the world. Québec does not escape the popularity of this sparkling and light wine, ideal for every day.

This popularity is undoubtedly explained by the exceptional work of the association of Prosecco producers, the Consorzio di tutela della Denominazione di Origine Controllata Prosecco. The Prosecco DOC Consortium works diligently to promote and protect the uniqueness of Prosecco DOC. Representing Italian excellence, Prosecco DOC has a distinct territory, stretching between Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia; rich in tradition with a favourable climate that gives Glera grapes a unique elegance, balance and contemporary flair. The wine has 28.100 hectares of vines, 12.312 winegrowers1.189 winegrowers and 360 sparkling wine houses for a total annual production of 627.5 million bottles and a turnover of 3 billion euros

From December 1st to December 15th, 2022, customers from the province of Quebec will be able to taste the wines in the «Prosecco DOC and Prosecco DOC Rosé Resto Weeks» promotion, an initiative proposed by the Consorzio di tutela della Denominazione di Origine Controllata Prosecco to promote the brand and increase awareness of Prosecco DOC among Quebec consumers.

20 selected restaurants will offer their customers Prosecco DOC by the glass, as well as through the star cocktail of the Resto Week, « The Authentic Venetian Spritz », in partnership with Select Aperitivo.

Le Spritz Vénitien Authentique

Born in the heart of Veneto, Prosecco DOC is the king of taste and is recognized for its great versatility, ideal for exploring new gastronomic horizons. With its sophisticated aromatic profile and well-balanced bittersweet taste, Select soon became the essential ingredient for making the original Venetian Spritz. According to Venetian tradition, the spritz was garnished with a large green olive to create the perfect blend of balance and flavor. It is still served this way today.
