Cantina Terracruda

The Terracruda Winery uses cutting-edge winemaking technology and tools without overlooking tradition or losing touch with the surrounding environment.

The Terracruda Winery combines the best of old wine-making traditions with the latest technology and tools of the modern wine industry in order to create high quality wines.

First opened in the year 2000 with the purchase of 20 hectares of vineyards located near the village of Fratte Rosa, an idyllic village located on the slopes of a hill in the Ancona province in the Italian region of Marche. The Terracruda Winery has the ideal location for winemaking as it is located among 3 separate DOC wine appellations; the Bianchello del Metauro DOC, the Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese DOC and the Pergola DOC. In order to enhance the natural flavour of the local wine, in 2005 the winery created a state-of-art wine-making facility as well as enlisting the expertise of famous oenologist Giancarlo Soverchia in order to offer the best wine possible.
The winery is built underground as to attain the perfect temperature for the creation of their wines, while also maintaining the integrity of the land.

Along with the production of delicious wines, environmental sustainability is of major concern to the winery, which is run exclusively with the use of renewable energy. In keeping with that goal, all of the grapes are handpicked both to ensure the quality of the grapes as well as to protect the surrounding territory.
